Because we accept registration for our programs through the mail and in person, as well as online, in rare cases we may inadvertently oversell a program. Registrations are processed on a first come, first served basis, and we close registration for a program as soon as we are aware that it is full. If you attempt to register for a program that is oversold, your credit card will not be charged and we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you. You will be offered the option of being placed on a waiting list, selecting another program or having your purchase cancelled.

For additional information on our Summer Camp Program, call (801) 585-3948 or e-mail your questions to programs@umnh.utah.edu.

    Week 7: July 19 - 23
    1:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Join us for a week of forensic science and super sleuthing. We’ll map and analyze a mock crime scene, collecting and examining evidence including lifting and inspecting shoe, lip and finger-prints. We’ll identify unknown chemicals to determine if a particular stain is animal or human blood. We’ll conduct DNA testing, interview witnesses, and participate in a handwriting analysis and ink chromatography. At the end of the week, figure out 'who-dun-it' and make sure that the results can stand up in a court trial. Plus, we’ll work with officers from the Salt Lake Crime Lab and tour their facility.

Museum members receive a discount on class registrations. You can become a member right now by clicking here.
